Mega Crit has officially sent players back to the tower, with Slay the Spire 2 launches into Steam Early Access on March 5, 2026. Nearly eight years after the original game’s debut, the sequel returns to the genre-defining roguelike deck builder with a rebuilt foundation, new mechanics, and enough new systems to ensure Spire remains as hostile as ever.
At launch, an Early Access version was introduced five playable characterscombining old favorites with new additions. Such veterans Strong, Silent, and Flawed returning, while newcomers like necro binder And Regent expand the roster with completely new playing styles. Necrobinder in particular leans heavily into corpse binding and summoning mechanics, offering a very different approach to deckbuilding compared to the more obvious damage and poison archetypes of the original game.
However, the biggest structural change is the introduction four player cooperative game. For the first time in the series, players can climb the Spire together, sharing relic decisions, coordinating routes through the map, and using multiplayer-specific cards and synergies to keep the party alive. This turns what would have been a very solitary puzzle into something more akin to a collaborative strategy session—one that will likely end with at least one friend being blamed for retrieving the wrong relic.
Technically, the sequel also underwent a major overhaul. The game has been rebuilt using Godot machinea move Mega Crit made following the Unity runtime cost controversy. This shift allows developers more control over performance and future updates, while modernizing animations and visuals compared to the original’s intentionally minimalist style.
Narratively, Slay the Spire 2 happen 1,000 years after the events of the first gamereturns players to a living tower that continues to evolve long after the original heroes’ attempts to conquer it. Procedurally generated maps, relics, enemies, and events remain the core of the formula, but the sequel adds new creatures, alternative actions, and hundreds of additional cards to experiment with.
Like the first game, Early Access will serve as a testing ground for balance and content. Mega Crit plans to expand the game over time new cards, enemies, environments and eventsuses community input to shape the final release. If the original 2017-2019 Early Access cycle is any indication, Spire is just starting to get worse.
The game is currently available on PC via Steamwith full support for Steam Deck on day one. Console versions have not been confirmed, but if history repeats itself, the port will likely arrive after the 1.0 launch.
For now, though, the tower has reopened, and judging by the presence of multiplayer mayhem, it’s going to take up more of our collective time than the original.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
