Tangerang Regent Inaugurates PMI Management, Disaster Aid Distributed Again

Maesyal Rasyid inaugurated 464 PMI administrators at sub-district level throughout Tangerang Regency, as well as releasing disaster aid distribution to Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra. This activity was held at the Multi-Purpose Building (GSG) Tangerang Regency Government Center, Thursday (12/2/2026), to coincide with the 68th anniversary of PMI Tangerang Regency.

Maesyal said that hundreds of administrators who were appointed came from 29 sub-districts with a structure including a Board of Trustees, Chairman and Members.

“Today we officially inaugurated 464 sub-district PMI administrators throughout Tangerang Regency, which coincides with the 68th anniversary of PMI Tangerang Regency,” said Maesyal.

He explained that the commemoration of PMI’s anniversary was not only filled with the inauguration of sub-district PMI management and Honorary Council, but was also accompanied by humanitarian action through the distribution of aid to disaster victims on Sumatra Island.

“Previously, aid was distributed in the form of cash amounting to IDR 2.7 billion. Now we are again distributing aid in the form of goods or religious equipment,” said Rudi.

Chairman of PMI Tangerang Regency, Soma Atmaja, added that the assistance was the result of PMI Tangerang Regency’s fundraising.

The aid distributed was in the form of 3,000 sarongs, 3,000 mukenas, 3,000 koko shirts, 3,000 prayer mats, and 2,000 Al-Qur’ans for disaster victims in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.

“This assistance is a form of our concern ahead of Ramadan so that our brothers and sisters there can still worship comfortably,” said Soma.

He also invited all PMI cadres in Tangerang Regency to continue to be enthusiastic and committed to carrying out humanitarian missions, especially helping communities affected by disasters.
