Daop 7 Madiun’s Public Relations Manager, Tohari, revealed that the punctuality rate for passenger train departures in the Daop 7 area reached 99.47%, exceeding the program target of 99.40%. Meanwhile, on time arrival reached 97.77%, far exceeding the target set at 94.28%.
“This success is the result of the hard work of all KAI people, full support from the government, as well as increased travel frequency which is managed with effective operational management. We continue to strive to improve customer safety, efficiency and comfort as a top priority,” said Tohari.
Time Discipline Appeal for Customers Tohari emphasizes that punctuality is the main advantage of rail transportation. Therefore, trains cannot wait for late customers to arrive at the station.
“We urge customers to plan their trips carefully, taking into account the travel time to the station, as well as the boarding queue process. We need to inform you that customers who miss the train will not get a refund for their ticket fees,” added Tohari.
To speed up the process, KAI has provided Face Recognition facilities at a number of stations. For Daop 7 Madiun itself, currently it is at Madiun Station, in the future it is hoped that stations with quite high passenger occupancy will have this FR facility. Apart from that, customers are advised to board via the Access by KAI application for convenience without the need to print a physical ticket.
Nataru Transport Update: Passengers Increase 8 Percent towards the end of the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) Transport period, passenger volume in the Daop 7 Madiun area shows an increasing trend. On Friday, January 2 2026, there were 10,151 passengers departing from the Daop 7 area, an increase of 8% compared to the previous day, Thursday, January 1 2026, with 9,366 passengers.
Accumulatively, since the start of the Nataru Transport period on December 18 2025 until the 16th day (January 2 2026), Daop 7 Madiun has served a total of 319,330 passengers consisting of 153,181 departing passengers and 166,149 arriving passengers.
Ticket Availability: Even though tickets for early departure trains from Daop 7 Madiun have been sold out, Tohari asked the public not to worry.
“The public can still order tickets for trains that cross the Daop 7 Madiun area. Tickets to destination cities such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Surabaya and Malang are still available via the Access by KAI application or other official channels,” concluded Tohari.
KAI is committed to continuing to “Serve More” by maintaining operational performance for customer comfort, while remaining alert to external factors that have the potential to influence travel.
