Sennheiser Updates TeamConnect Bar with a More Stable AI Camera

Sennheiser released firmware update version 1.3.8 for TeamConnect (TC) Bar Solutions, bringing crucial improvements to the artificial intelligence (AI)-based camera, security system, network reliability and power consumption efficiency. This update is available for free and can be downloaded immediately by all TC Bar S and TC Bar M users.

This latest firmware is Sennheiser’s step in strengthening all-in-one collaboration solutions amidst the increasing need for hybrid meeting rooms. The main focus of the update is directed at video stability, professional audio flexibility, and device readiness to face the latest security standards.

The most prominent improvement is in the AI-based 4K camera. Sennheiser perfected the image processing algorithm so that frame movement is smoother and more natural, especially when the auto-framing and person tiling features are used.

Additionally, firmware 1.3.8 brings a new default camera mode that keeps camera behavior consistent throughout a meeting, without removing the option for manual adjustments by the user during a call.

On the audio side, the TC Bar now supports Dante output, enabling integration with external speakers for more complex meeting room needs. This support complements the TC Bar’s built-in stereo speakers which have been previously designed to deliver professional-grade sound quality.

External speakers connected via Dante can also be utilized for continuous audio distribution to MobileConnect, Sennheiser’s two-way communications solution.

This firmware update also targets operational aspects. Uptime from standby mode is now shortened through optimization of default energy settings, plus an “Always On” option so the device is always ready to use when a meeting starts.

On the safety aspect, Sennheiser ensures that the TC Bar has adapted to the latest safety standards and regulations. Network reliability is also improved, especially for split mode use, through a more stable routing system.

The TeamConnect Bar S and M maintain Microsoft Teams certification, as well as cross-platform compatibility, making them a flexible collaboration solution for small to medium meeting rooms.

Firmware version 1.3.8 is available for free via the Sennheiser Control Cockpit or the official Sennheiser website in the Download menu for each device.
