Synergy between DPRD and Press Personnel, Tangerang Regency Media Center Comes with Modern Facilities

MediaBantenCyber.co.id (MBC), Tangerang — The synergy between the Tangerang Regency DPRD and members of the press has been further strengthened by the presence of a new Media Center which is equipped with modern facilities to support journalistic work and openness of public information.

The inauguration of the Media Center was carried out by the Head of the General Section of the Tangerang Regency DPRD Secretariat, Yeni Yuliawati, representing DPRD Secretary Neneng Almirah, Monday (23/2/2026). This facility is now officially functioning as a center for disseminating information on legislative activities as well as a work space for journalists.

In her speech, Yeni emphasized that the media center is an important part in building professional relationships between the DPRD and the mass media. According to him, healthy collaboration will produce objective and balanced information for the community.

“We want to build a more professional synergy. We hope that information related to the duties and functions of the DPRD can be conveyed in full and not give rise to wrong perceptions,” he said.

He also explained plans to strengthen the internal media center system in 2026 so that the flow of information runs in two directions and is more structured. With this system, the process of clarifying and distributing information is expected to be more effective.

Previously, the media center was in the lobby of the main Tangerang Regency DPRD building. However, after being affected by the expansion of the Finance Section of the Council Secretariat (Setwan), the facility was moved to a separate building with more representative facilities.

Tangerang Regency DPRD Media Center Advisor, Jaya Kurnia, emphasized that the provision of modern facilities is not intended to reduce the independence of the press.

“This facility is a form of support for fellow journalists. Press freedom must still be maintained, and criticism remains an important part of democracy as long as it is conveyed in a balanced manner,” he said.

He also reminded the importance of adapting to developments in digital technology, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI), so that media centers are able to keep up with the dynamics of the times.

With the presence of a more modern Media Center, the Tangerang Regency DPRD hopes to build a transparent, collaborative and professional information ecosystem, so that the public can obtain information on the performance of people’s representatives accurately and reliably. (*)
