Not only focusing on operational readiness, travel safety and punctuality, KAI Daop 4 Semarang also strengthens aspects of customer comfort when they are in the station area.

KAI Daop 4 Semarang Public Relations Manager Luqman Arif said that this effort was realized through optimizing supporting facilities in the form of musical entertainment and children’s play areas presented at Semarang Tawang Station.

“The presence of this facility is part of KAI Daop 4 Semarang’s efforts to create a pleasant travel experience from the moment customers first arrive at the station,” said Luqman.

The music presented at Semarang Tawang Station has existed since 2010 as part of KAI Daop 4 Semarang’s ongoing service in creating a comfortable and friendly station atmosphere for customers.

Luqman said that the music genre presented was dominated by keroncong music which is closely related to the culture of Semarang City and the historical nuances of Semarang Tawang Station.

“The choice of keroncong music with a soft character and calm tempo is expected to create a relaxed and calming atmosphere, especially amidst the increasing density of passenger activity during the year-end holidays,” he said.

Apart from being entertainment, the presence of keroncong music also strengthens the identity of Semarang Tawang Station as a historic public space that functions not only as a transportation transit point, but also as a shared space that has its own cultural character and atmosphere.

Apart from providing a livelier atmosphere, KAI Daop 4 Semarang also optimizes the existence of a children’s play area at Semarang Tawang Station.
